Laser cutting is a precise and flexible manufacturing process used to produce metal components directly from sheet material. A focused laser beam follows the supplied vector profile to cut complex shapes and features accurately without the need for hard tooling.
The process is well suited to prototypes, bespoke one-off components and repeat production, with efficient setup allowing us to manufacture a wide range of component shapes, quantities and material thicknesses.
Where fine etched surface detail is also required, laser cutting can be combined with chemical etching using PPD’s Chemical Etch + Laser process.
