PPD manufactures precision metal components for jewellers, designers and makers, from one-off pieces and development work through to repeat production.

Chemical etching is particularly well suited to jewellery because it can produce intricate profiles, fine surface detail and lightweight components without the need for expensive hard tooling. Laser cutting and our Chemical Etch + Laser process extend this capability to thicker materials and designs requiring a laser-cut profile.

The process can be used for decorative elements, pendants, earrings, inserts, textured surfaces and other bespoke components where fine detail and repeatability are important.

Pendants, earrings, decorative inserts, textured components, surface-etched detail, lightweight metal forms, bespoke commissions, prototype pieces and repeat-production components.                         

Silver

PPD can process customer-supplied silver sheet using Chemical Etching, Laser Cutting or Chemical Etch + Laser, depending on the material thickness, component design and required finish.

We do not normally hold silver in stock. Once we have reviewed your artwork and confirmed the most suitable process, we can advise on the sheet size and material required.
